Jean has a longstanding passion for exercise medicine and improving physical activity conversations within healthcare. She has been a Physical Activity Clinical Champion for over eight years and has been involved in the Moving Medicine programme since its inception, contributing to education and clinician engagement around physical activity in long-term conditions. She leads the development of the Moving Medicine Coachbot, an AI-supported patient-facing digital intervention designed to support behaviour change and increase confidence and motivation towards physical activity.  She was also a keen advocate for physical activity amongst her staff and patients as a GP Partner and led her practice to become an RCGP Parkrun Practice in 2015

Alongside her clinical work, Jean is a tutor for the BASEM Exercise Medicine Diploma Course, and organiser/chair of national RCGP SEM and MSK educational events. Her wider professional interests include exercise medicine, women’s health in sport, and improving access to physical activity interventions within healthcare systems.
