Conference: ACSEP Annual Scientific Conference
Dr Lewis Jolly is a UK-trained doctor now based in Brisbane, Australia, where he is building a career in Sport and Exercise Medicine. His clinical background is rooted in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal care, particularly through fracture clinic work, acute injury assessment and patient/athlete rehab.
Alongside his hospital work, Lewis works across a variety of sports, providing matchday medical cover in rugby union with Sunnybank Rugby Club and working in professional football with Brisbane Roar FC. He has also gained international tournament experience through his role at the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
Lewis is particularly interested in pitch-side care, acute sports injury management, athlete training physiology, gait retraining and sports performance. He is motivated by the challenge of understanding how athletes adapt, move and recover, and how clinicians can support a safe return from injury back to performance. He was awarded the BASEM External Training and Development Sponsorship, which will support his attendance at the 2026 ACSEP Annual Scientific Conference as he continues to develop within Sport and Exercise Medicine.
