BASEM/UKADIS Malcolm Read Scholarship for Research & Travel in SEM

In honour of Malcolm’s outstanding contribution to SEM, this award provides financial assistance to support BASEM members who wish to undertake a smaller project in SEM which otherwise would not have access to other steams of funding or wider audiences.

The David Hemery CBE Award for an Outstanding Contribution to Lifestyle Medicine

The David Hemery CBE Lifestyle Medicine Award seeks to recognise an outstanding contribution to Lifestyle Medicine. The award was instigated in 2018 to commemorate 50 years since David Hemery won the Gold Medal in Mexico in 1968.

The Sir Roger Bannister Award seeks to recognise a lifetime’s outstanding contribution to the field of Sport and Exercise Medicine. The award was instigated in 2004 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Sir Roger’s 4 minute mile and is awarded on a yearly basis.
