Dr Simon Lack PhD MSc (SEM) BSc (Hons) (Physiotherapy)

Senior Lecturer Queen Mary University London, Consultant Physiotherapist and Head of Research at Pure Sports Medicine

Simon is a senior lecturer and Lead of the MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine programme at QMUL. He completed his PhD in 2017 and has continued to be actively involved in research studies and grant applications since.  Simon is also a consultant physiotherapist and Head of Research at Pure Sports Medicine, where he looks to integrate research activities into daily clinical practice.

He has been a member of BASEM for the last 5 years, contributing to conference abstract screening, presentation evaluation and awarding. He led on the curation of issue 61 of BASEM today “Allied health professions in SEM – identifying the bright spots and areas for progress”. He currently sits on the BASEM Awards Committee to assist in the decision making for funding allocation to support members in their research and professional development activities.
