Paper: Gender parity in sports medicine; present imperative not future aspiration
Bio: Dr Meg Ormond is a Foundation Doctor in Surrey who graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2024. During her medical studies, she completed an intercalated BSc in Sports Science, achieving a First.
She is interested in SEM, having been actively involved throughout medical school. She was President of the National Undergraduate SEM Society (USEMS) from 2024 to 2025ย and a dedicated member of the Birmingham University SEM committee for four years. During this time, she played a key role in organising multiple national conferences and events aimed at promoting SEM among medical students and resident doctors.
