Elective at Sports Medicine Elective, Sydney, Australia
Bio: I am a final-year medical student at Exeter University with a strong interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine. My interest developed during my intercalated year when I worked with the university rugby team on SCAT5 testing and return-to-play protocols, and explored injury rehabilitation and performance optimisation.
As President of the Exeter SEM Society, I have helped boost student involvement in the field. During my elective in Sydney, I shadowed practitioners at the Sports Medicine Institute and The Stadium Clinic, gaining hands-on experience in high-performance athlete care, injury prevention, and innovative rehabilitation strategies.
Outside of medicine, I play competitive tennis and have served as a team captain. My time on the court, dealing with injuries and performance challenges, has given me practical insight into athlete care.
