Research: Health Outcomes of Female Military Veterans in Scotland
Bio: Dr Alethea McHardy is a Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine working for the MoD in Scotland. Alongside this she works in the pre-hospital environment both as a doctor and a qualified mountain leader. She sits on the FSEM council as the Chair of the Out of the Blocks new consultants initiative and has a passion for education and practitioner development. She has been a key member of the faculty of the BASEM foundation skills course for a number of years.
Alethea is currently studying for a PhD in Public Health at the University of Glasgow. Her research will focus on the health outcomes of female military veterans in Scotland. She has a keen interest in policy and how this drives change in relation to public health.
