Dr. Karen Mullins is a senior clinical researcher for UPMC Sports Medicine. Karen graduated from the Institute of Technology Tallaght, with a first class honours in Sports Science and Health before undertaking her PhD in Waterford IT. Her PhD focused on the effects of arthroscopic surgery on athletic performance in athletes. Since completing her studies she has regularly presented her work and published multiple peer-reviewed studies, examining the outcomes of surgery for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI).
