Attended: Gaining practical experience in performance medicine at the Royal Ballet, London.
In 2016, after 10 years working as a frontline Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Major Trauma, I decided to pursue my interest in Exercise and Physical activity and retrain formally in Sports and Exercise medicine.ย I now share my working hours between being a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Kings College London, an ST 6 in Sports Medicine in Leicester, Loughborough and Nottingham and working as a Clinical champion for Physical Activity for Public Health England.
I also deliver webinars on wellbeing for a number of clients, including HEEM and LโOreal.ย I am a Level four personal trainer.ย ย My interest in performance medicine stems from my love of theatre and my childrenโs involvement in the performing arts.ย The demands on performers are similar to those on elite athletes and I look forward to sharing the knowledge gained during this travelling fellowship to enhance the care of those in involved in the performing arts.
