2019 Undergraduate Student Elective Award in Association with USEMS Winner: Tom Chandy

Bio:ย Tom Chandy is a final year medical student at Cardiff University. He is the current President of Cardiff Sport & Exercise Medicine Society (CSEMS). He obtained a First Class Honours degree from Bangor University during his intercalation in Clinical Sport Science. His planned 2020 elective focus on Rugby Medicine taking him to the southern hemisphereโ€™s SANZAAR Super Rugby and World Rugby Sevens Series building upon Tom’s experience of shadowing in the semi-professional WRUโ€™s Welsh Premiership. In his spare time Tom is aย competitive club runner and is often found at half marathons as partย of the medical team if notย competing.ย
