At the time of winning this award, Tej was a 4th year medical student at the University of Manchester. He is keen on sports medicine research, having had placements at the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance (MIHP) and more recently, the Centre for Sports Exercise and Osteoarthritis at the University of Oxford. Outside of university, Tej is a keen (but very amateur) runner, currently training for his first marathon!
Tej’s elective itinerary is as follows:-
27th May-7th June 2019: 2 weeks in Manchester at the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance
10th June – 28th June 2019: 3 weeks in trauma medicine at Mitchells Plain Emergency Centre, Cape Town, South Africa
1st July – 19th July 2019: 3 weeks in the sports science and medicine department at the University of Cape Town
