Dr Ralph Smith, MB, BS, MSc, MFSEM, MRCGP, Dip(MskUS) has recently completed his specialist training in Sport and Exercise medicine and is working at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. He works in both musculoskeletal and exercise medicine within the NHS.
He has published and been extensively involved in several physical activity projects including the formation of the UKs Chief Medical officers’ infographic entitled ‘Physical Activity for Pregnant Women’; Inflammatory Rheumatic Disease lead for the Moving Medicine web-based tool and is the maternity lead for a PHE commissioned secondary care physical activity feasibility pilot project.
Research: The incidence of undiagnosed coeliac disease in patients presenting with stress fracture to a tertiary referral centre.
