Research: Investigating the circulating sphingolipidome response to a single high-intensity interval training session within healthy females and males in their twenties: the SphingoHIIT study
Bio:ย Dr Justin Carrard works as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Department of Sport, Exercise and Health, University of Basel (Switzerland) and as a Sport and Exercise Physician at the SportAdo Centre of the University Hospital of Lausanne (Switzerland).
His research mainly focuses on the metabolic determinants of healthy ageing and active living. He is passionate about the power of exercise to age healthier and live happier and is dedicated to raising awareness about the power of exercise in treating chronic disease and musculoskeletal injuries.
Further, he serves as an Associate Editor for the British Medical Journal Open Sport & Exercise Medicine, a board member of theย Rรฉseau Santรฉ & Sportย (French for the Network Health & Sport), a former board member of Sport & Exercise Medicine Switzerland (SEMS) and the former president-founder of its junior section (Junior SEMS).
