Bio: Kirstie is a GP registrar based in Ayrshire, Scotland. After completing her medical degree at University of Dundee, she began developing her interest in SEM and working alongside other medics in football. She completed her MSc in Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine with Distinction at University of Glasgow. She has continued to work regularly in football alongside her GP training. She currently works as one of the team Doctors for Kilmarnock Women FC.
Her specialist interests are in female athlete health, RED-S, physical activity for health and dance medicine. She is absolutely delighted to have been chosen for this award to support her attendance at the โ9th UEFA Medical Symposium: the womenโs game and beyondโ in beautiful Lugano. The conference hosted a number of invaluable conversations around advancing female athlete care, and she has returned home filled with ideas to improve female footballer care.
