Research: Exertional Heat Illness Registry
Bio: Dr Dan Fitzpatrick is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Registrar based in London. He is also trained as a GP and completed an MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health at UCL. He has also worked in athletics, rugby and football and has a research interest in marathon runner health.
This project aims to produce a registry of Exertional Heat Illness cases at UK based endurance sport events to allow us to better understand incidence, risk factors, treatment and prognosis for individuals sustaining a heat illness.
