Paul is a Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Sports Medicine, Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (Norges idrettshøgskole).
His research combines epidemiology and metabolomics to explore the associations between physical activity, sedentary time, and aerobic fitness; and a comprehensive lipoprotein profile in Norwegian schoolchildren. Prior to his move to Norway, Paul completed the Academic Foundation Programme within the Academic Department of Vascular Surgery, St Thomas’ Hospital. He qualified in medicine from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and holds a first-class honours degree in sports and exercise medicine from Queen Mary University of London.
Though he grew to love the sub-zero temperatures and prolonged darkness of the Norwegian winter, Paul never found his skiing legs; he is now back in South London and when not working on his thesis can be found riding his bicycle somewhere in Kent.
