Bio: Raj is a Sport & Exercise Medicine registrar in London. He is a council member at the Royal Society of Medicine’s Rheumatology section, honorary secretary of the Sport and Exercise Medicine section, and registrar representative at the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine. He earned his medical degree with distinction from the University of Sheffield and completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Sciences with distinction from the University of Oxford. Raj has attained membership at the Royal College of Physicians and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, and holds a BSc in Medical Ethics and Law from Kingโs College London.
He has a robust research portfolio with over 40 publications in high-impact journals and sits on the EULAR taskforce for using physical activity in rheumatic diseases. Raj has extensive clinical and teaching experience across prestigious institutions, including University College Hospital and Imperial College London, and works in elite sporting environments including premier league football, basketball and cricket. Outside of medicine, he is a professional magician and works actively with patient charities Versus Arthritis and NASS.
