Hi, I’m Gemma! I am entering my 5th year of medical school at the University of Leeds and I am about to begin my medical elective in Australia, where I will be spending time in SEM clinics. I am very excited to be one of your Social Media Secs this year!
I intercalated in the SEM Master’s degree, where I developed a particular interest in concussion research and women’s health. Alongside my studies, I have played elite netball for Leeds Rhinos and captained the University of Leeds BUCS 1st team.
I am president of Leeds SEM Soc and last year we had the pleasure of hosting and organising a very successful Northern SEM Conference.
I’m passionate about promoting SEM, creating engaging content, and helping showcase the exciting opportunities within our specialty. I can’t wait to work with the committee this year!
