Hi, I’m Callum and in August I’ll be starting as an FY1 in the East of England, having studied at UEA in Norwich.
As Southern Representative, I’m really excited to help promote SEM across the region and
nationally, making SEM more visible and accessible to students and resident doctors.
Having re-established the UEA SEM Society as President, I have organised a range of talks to improve SEM exposure at my university, while further developing my own understanding of this exciting field.
Last summer I was very fortunate to undertake an international elective in Australia and New
Zealand, where I spent four weeks observing SEM clinics, as well as gaining valuable pitch-side
experience!
Having attended the past two BASEM and USEMS conferences, my interest in pursuing a career in SEM has continued to grow.
Outside of medicine, I’ve always been a keen football fan, but I also enjoy hiking and watching any sport that’s on!
