Hi, I’m Will! I’m a final-year medical student at the University of Warwick, and I’m thrilled to be serving as your new West Midlands and Wales Representative for USEMS this year.
My interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) kicked off during my second year of medical school. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to gain hands-on experience working alongside SEM doctors as a first responder at multiple marathons and tennis tournaments.
Looking ahead, I am planning to complete my medical elective next year at the OXSPORT clinic in
Oxford to further develop my clinical insights into the specialty.
Beyond my regional role, I have been actively involved in building the SEM community closer to home and am currently serving as the President of the Warwick SEM Society.
Having benefited immensely from the network myself, I want to use my time as rep to help you get more exposure to the field. My main goals are to connect you with valuable local contacts and help you find paid work opportunities within sports. Please feel free to reach out if you want to get involved!
