Hi I’m Rosie! I’m an FY1 and I’m excited to be the incoming USEMS President!
My background as a former GB swimmer and World Junior Record holder has provided me with valuable first-hand insight into SEM. I’ve been fortunate to gain experience working alongside
clinicians at the Isle of Man TT, shadowing doctors at Derby County FC and Birmingham FC, and recently completed the FIFA Online Diploma in Football Medicine.
Alongside this, I am also actively involved in research and was joint first author of a systematic review on REDs, published in JSAMS Plus. I enjoy teaching and have delivered presentations as part of Leicester’s SEM modules, and to various university societies.
This year, I hope to expand opportunities for students interested in SEM by launching a USEMs National teaching series and continuing to integrate SEM and Physical Activity Clinical Champion
training into undergraduate education.
