Dr Roland Teare is a GP Partner and GP Surgeon in Wiltshire who has combined General Practice with his passion for Sports and Exercise Medicine ever since completing a SEM MSc in 2013.ย
He works as a GP in Sports and Dance Medicine at the Royal United Hospital in Bathย and is also a GP in community orthopaedic and fracture clinics in the NHS.ย In addition, he is a lecturer and examiner at the University of Bath where he has helped lead and develop the SEM course in recent years.ย He has been a club doctor in professional football and has worked in athletics and school sport.ย
Currently he is team doctor and lead academy doctor at Bath Rugby.ย In recent seasons he has been a match day doctor for Premiership, European and Six Nations Rugby before taking on this role at the Womens Rugby World Cup in 2025. He is looking forward to helping BASEM further develop opportunities for all healthcare professionals in the ever evolving landscape of SEM.
