Mel joined BASEM as Project Administrator in September 2023.

Before joining BASEM Mel spent several years working in the events industry arranging large scale Corporate Events for Asda and Weddings & Parties for a private venue in Leeds.  Her last role before BASEM was as Events Manager at The Dome in Doncaster organising a variety of events from Boxing & Tribute acts to Stand-up Comedians like Jimmy Carr & Bands like Kasabian.

She also spent several years as a Buyer for various companies including Next Retail and in various Admin roles including a Legal PA for DHL.

Mel was born in Doncaster and moved away when she was 11 having spent several years living in the Leeds/Wakefield area she moved back to Doncaster in February 2022.

Her partner lives in Lincoln so she spends most weekends there with him and also enjoys spending time with her family especially her Nephew Edward.
