Call For Abstracts
BASEM is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for our annual conference on 18th and 19th November 2025.
The British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine would like to invite submissions covering any clinical aspect of sport and exercise medicine – anything that relates to the health, well-being, function, illness or injury management of patients or athletes.
BASEM has two award categories open for submissions; the Tom Donaldson Poster Prize for Undergraduate applicants and the Association Prize for Sports and Exercise Medicine for applicants who are Postgraduate level and above.

The Tom Donaldson Poster Prize
The Tom Donaldson Poster Prize is run in association with SEMSoc as part of the abstract and poster presentation session of the BASEM Annual Conference.
- Prize: 1st prize (£400), 2nd prize (£300) & 3rd prize (£200)
- Term: BASEM Conference Award

Availability: Open to Members & Non-Members of BASEM at undergraduate level.
DEADLINE:
Good Grants is grant management software which allows BASEM to manage the award process in one place. It doesn’t just make the process easier for BASEM, but applicants as well. Applicants will be able to create a profile and apply to all of BASEMs awards, grants and bursaries using the easy to follow application forms which can be saved and edited at any time prior to submission or the closing date. It also allows applicants to track the progress of their application while it is being reviewed. Once successful, the awardee will then be able to monitor their progress against their award requirements, making the whole process smoother and more efficient.
