With the support of UK Anti-Doping (UKAD), we are providing these resources to support you when working with athletes around the subject of Clean Sport. Everyone has a duty to protect clean sport. As a medical professional, working or training as a sports doctor or physiotherapist for example, you are part of an athlete’s support network. The athlete depends on you for experience, direction and guidance. It is your duty of care to be able to respond appropriately.

Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs)

Sports doctors are a critical part of ensuring athletes have a TUE in place for any medication which contains a prohibited substance, where applicable. Learn more on the steps involved in the TUE process with UKAD, including how to apply for a TUE.

Global DRO

Medications, whether prescribed or bought directly over the counter, may contain prohibited substances.ย It is an athleteโ€™s responsibility to check their medication before using it even if they have used it before. Learn how you can support athletes to do this.
