“Medical Director – Build a World-Class Sports Medicine Centre in Saudi Arabia”

Qiddiya Health & Performance Center (QHC) is seeking an exceptional Medical Director – Sports Medicine & Performance to provide clinical leadership for one of the region’s most ambitious sports medicine and human performance initiatives.

QHC is being developed as a world-class centre of excellence delivering advanced sports medicine, athlete health, rehabilitation, diagnostics, and performance services.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Center Director, the Medical Director will serve as the senior clinical authority for QHC, responsible for establishing the highest standards of medical care, clinical governance, and athlete health management.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide visionary medical leadership across sports medicine, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, diagnostics, injury prevention, and athlete wellness services.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians, rehabilitation specialists, performance scientists, and healthcare professionals.
• Establish world-class clinical pathways covering injury management, concussion care, return-to-play decision-making, and long-term athlete health.
• Support elite athletes, professional teams, emerging talent, and high-performance programmes.
• Drive innovation through clinical research, digital health, athlete monitoring technologies, and evidence-based practice.
• Develop academic partnerships, education programmes, and research initiatives with leading global institutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an internationally respected sports medicine physician and clinical leader with:

• Medical degree (MD/MBBS or equivalent) with specialist qualification in Sports Medicine, Orthopaedics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or related discipline.
• 10+ years’ post-qualification clinical experience, including significant leadership experience at Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, or equivalent level.
• Proven experience supporting elite athletes, professional teams, Olympic/high-performance programmes, or international sporting organisations.
• Strong expertise in athlete health, injury prevention, rehabilitation, concussion management, and return-to-play frameworks.
• Experience building multidisciplinary medical teams and implementing clinical governance frameworks.
• A passion for research, education, innovation, and advancing the future of sports medicine.
