A two-day, English-language course on ultrasound-guided lower-limb surgery at IRCAD Strasbourg, combining practical lectures, surgical videos, expert demonstrations and supervised cadaveric training. For orthopaedic surgeons and physicians with an interest in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures.
Join us at IRCAD Strasbourg, France, on 2–3 April 2027 for a practical course in ultrasound-guided lower-limb surgery, co-directed by Dr Lionel Benamran and Dr Guillaume Prado.
The course combines step-by-step presentations, ultrasound landmarks, surgical videos and faculty demonstrations with extensive supervised practice on anatomical specimens. The hands-on format aims for approximately one instructor for every two participants, with one to two hours of supervised cadaveric practice per teaching session.
Topics include Morton’s neuroma release, plantar fascia release, gastrocnemius lengthening, anterior and lateral compartment fasciotomies for chronic exertional compartment syndrome, iliotibial band release and selected peripheral nerve releases. Advanced tarsal tunnel and lateral patellar retinacular release techniques will be discussed at the end of the course without participant hands-on practice. The programme remains subject to change.
The course is taught in English and is intended for orthopaedic surgeons and physicians interested in ultrasound-guided and minimally invasive lower-limb procedures.
