Muscle Injuries 360° is an advanced 52-hour international course providing an integrated, evidence-informed approach to sports-related muscle injuries, from epidemiology, injury mechanisms and imaging to clinical assessment, rehabilitation, load monitoring and return to performance.
Muscle Injuries 360° is an advanced, clinically oriented international programme designed for professionals involved in the prevention, assessment, management, rehabilitation and return to performance of athletes with sports-related muscle injuries.
The 52-hour core programme covers the full muscle-injury continuum, integrating epidemiology and risk factors, muscle structure and injury mechanisms, classification, biomechanics, prevention, clinical assessment, MRI and ultrasound, emerging imaging technologies, muscle healing, surgical considerations, orthobiologics, neuromuscular assessment, rehabilitation, nutrition, psychological readiness, GPS and load monitoring, and sport-specific return to performance.
Particular attention is given to hamstring, adductor, quadriceps/rectus femoris, calf/triceps surae and pelvitrochanteric presentations. Multidisciplinary, muscle-specific clinical case roundtables integrate imaging, medical management, rehabilitation and return-to-performance decision-making.
The course brings together an international multidisciplinary faculty with expertise across sports medicine, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, sports science, research and high-performance sport.
Teaching is delivered through live, interactive online sessions on Thursdays from 19:00-21:00 UTC, with 24/7 access to class replays. The official course language is English. Participants may also choose to attend a separate optional 8-hour practical component, offering hands-on training in muscle ultrasound assessment, field-based physical and metabolic assessment, and neuromuscular assessment using manual dynamometry. The optional practical component is planned for Porto, Barcelona and Riyadh, subject to participation requirements.
