The Football | Soccer Medicine Advanced Course – 4th Edition is an international advanced education programme in football | soccer medicine, delivered online from 17 November 2026 to 29 June 2027, with 54 hours of scientific teaching in English.
Developed by Academia Clínicas Espregueira, in partnership with Clínica Espregueira – FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, the course is designed for medical doctors, physiotherapists, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and other stakeholders working in football | soccer medicine.
Through a comprehensive scientific programme and a distinguished international faculty, the course aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge, clinical reasoning and communication, supporting their professional development and their contribution to players’ health and sports teams.
Recognising the gap that may exist between scientific knowledge and its practical application, the programme seeks to provide clinicians with guidance for implementing scientific and clinical interventions and to support evidence-based clinical care and decision-making in football | soccer medicine.
The scientific scope encompasses injury and illness prevention; pre-participation cardiovascular and musculoskeletal screening; differential diagnosis and critical clinical workflow; treatment and rehabilitation; and return to play, with the overarching purpose of promoting the physical and mental well-being of football | soccer players throughout their lives.
