Calf injuries, their causes and rehabilitation are complex and multifactorial. Without appropriate structure, it can be easy to try to do everything and achieve nothing, or to simply repeat what we know, leaving blind spots unchecked. This talk will focus on what we should be including in our calf injury rehab, and how we can practically apply this to ensure the best possible outcome.
Mr Simon Wallace is an Irish physiotherapist, working as Senior Physiotherapist at Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital, where he leads the Foot, Ankle, and Calf Rehabilitatiom team. His clinical expertise lies primarily in lower limb injuries, with a particular focus on foot and ankle cases, as well as complex and recurrent thigh muscle injuries. Before joining Aspetar, he spent over a decade working in elite professional sport in the UK, including serving as Medical Lead and Head Physiotherapist at Leicester Tigers, as well as time with Sale Sharks and Sheffield Hallam University.
