In this presentation, Dr van Dyk will review the evidence on the effectiveness of various hamstring injury prevention strategies and compare it to their efficacy in real-world settings. The aim is to address the apparent paradox: despite having effective tools to reduce hamstring injuries, the incidence and rates of these injuries remain high. Additionally, evidence related to women and discussions around how performance considerations might eventually help change this situation, will be incorporated.
