Contact sports have a relatively high rate of concussion compared to other sports. By establishing concussion risk factors, preventative interventions can be implemented and evaluated, to reduce the risk of concussion. There have also been recent advancements in concussion recognition, to improve the safety of contact sports. This session will describe the effectiveness of various interventions, leading to policy changes in sports such as rugby league and rugby union, as well as other advances within the area of concussion.
